Question 1

Does Kia's seven-year warranty transfer to a second owner?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The warranty runs for seven years or 150,000 km from first registration, whichever comes first, and stays with the car when it is sold. It depends on the servicing having followed Kia's schedule, so check the service book and invoices.

Question 2

Which Crit'Air sticker does a used Kia get?

Accepted Answer

Petrol, hybrid and plug-in hybrid models from recent years get Crit'Air 1, while CRDi diesels get Crit'Air 2 at best. The electric Niro and EV6 get the green sticker that opens every ZFE.

Question 3

What should I check on a used electric Kia?

Accepted Answer

Ask for a battery health report, since the battery's condition decides the range and it has its own warranty terms. Check which charging cables come with the car and that it charges properly both at home and on fast chargers.

Question 4

Is a hybrid Kia Niro a good choice for town driving?

Accepted Answer

Yes, the hybrid Niro runs on electric power at low speed and never needs plugging in. The plug-in version suits drivers who can charge at home, while the fully electric Niro removes fuel costs altogether.
