Question 1

Which used Ford Fiesta is the most reliable?

Accepted Answer

Older generations with the 1.25 and 1.4 petrol engines are simple and durable. The 1.0 EcoBoost of recent generations is more economical and lively, but needs oil changes kept up because of its oil-immersed timing belt. On Powershift automatic Fiestas, clutch failures are the thing to check.

Question 2

Ford Ka or Ford Fiesta: which should you choose?

Accepted Answer

The Ka is shorter, simpler and cheaper to buy, and is mainly suited to town. The Fiesta is roomier, better equipped for safety in recent generations and better on the open road. The five-door Ka+ sits between the two for space.

Question 3

Is a used Ford Fiesta ST worth buying?

Accepted Answer

The Fiesta ST is one of the most praised small performance cars, with the 1.6 EcoBoost in the seventh generation and a three-cylinder 1.5 in the eighth. On a used one, check the clutch, brakes and tyres, which suffer from spirited driving. Insurance and IUC road tax are higher than for a regular Fiesta.
