Question 1

Which Opels are built on Peugeot and Citroën engineering?

Accepted Answer

Since the 2019 Corsa, most new Opels share their base with Stellantis siblings: the Corsa with the Peugeot 208, the Mokka with the 2008, the Grandland with the 3008 and the Combo with the Partner and Berlingo. Older models date from the GM era.

Question 2

Is an Opel easy to service in France?

Accepted Answer

The Opel network belongs to Stellantis, and newer models use many parts from Peugeot and Citroën, which are everywhere in France. Independent garages know this engineering well too.

Question 3

Which Opels come as electric cars?

Accepted Answer

The Corsa, Mokka and Astra, as well as the Combo and Vivaro vans, are offered with electric power. They get the green Crit'Air sticker and may enter every low-emission zone.

Question 4

What about older Opel diesels in low-emission zones?

Accepted Answer

A Euro 6 diesel gets Crit'Air 2 and a Euro 5 diesel Crit'Air 3. Many older GM-era Astra, Insignia or Zafira diesels fall into the weaker classes and are restricted in some zones.
