Which Opel Insignia generation should I buy?

What are the weak points of a used Opel Insignia?

On the 2.0 CDTI, watch for clogged particulate filters, EGR faults and a worn dual-mass flywheel. On automatic versions, check that the gearbox shifts smoothly once warm.

Does a used Opel Insignia suit French low-emission zones?

A petrol Insignia registered from 2011 gets Crit'Air 1, while a diesel gets Crit'Air 2 at best. Drivers who often enter low-emission zones may find the petrol the safer choice.
