Which Crit'Air sticker does a petrol Audi get?

A petrol car registered from 2011 meets Euro 5 or 6 and gets Crit'Air 1. Euro 4 petrol cars registered between 2006 and 2010 get Crit'Air 2.

What should I check on an Audi TFSI engine?

Ask how much oil the engine uses between services, as some 1.8 and 2.0 TFSI units from around 2008 to 2012 burned a lot of it. On those engines, also listen for a rattling timing chain on a cold start.

Does the Audi S tronic gearbox need special care?

The S tronic dual-clutch gearbox needs its oil changed at the intervals Audi sets, and the service record should show it. Jerky pull-aways are easiest to spot on a test drive in town traffic.

How is the carte grise for a petrol Audi priced?

The regional rate is multiplied by the car's fiscal horsepower (chevaux fiscaux), so an RS model costs much more to register than an A1. For a car over four years old, the seller must also supply a contrôle technique less than six months old.
