Question 1

Do Peugeot SUVs have four-wheel drive?

Accepted Answer

Most are front-wheel drive. Grip Control adapts traction for mud, sand and wet grass without driving the rear wheels, while the 3008 Hybrid4 plug-in hybrid adds an electric motor at the back for all-wheel drive.

Question 2

What separates the Peugeot 3008 from the 5008?

Accepted Answer

From the 2017 generation the 5008 is longer, with a bigger boot and a third row of seats, while the 3008 seats five. Earlier 5008s were people carriers rather than SUVs, and the first 3008 was a raised crossover.

Question 3

What should I check on a used Peugeot e-2008?

Accepted Answer

Ask for a battery health report and compare the range on a full charge with what the car should manage. An electric e-2008 pays no IUC in Portugal, which lowers its running costs against a petrol 2008.

Question 4

Is there anything particular about Peugeot SUV petrol engines?

Accepted Answer

The 1.2 PureTech in many 2008s and 3008s runs its timing belt in oil, and the belt can deteriorate early. An invoice for its replacement, and servicing with the oil Peugeot specifies, are what to look for.
