Is the Opel Corsa Easytronic gearbox reliable?

It is the weak point of these Corsas: the clutch and gear actuator fails fairly often and repairs are not cheap. On a test drive, be wary of very slow shifts, jerks or dashboard warnings.

Which automatic Opel Corsa is the best choice?

The Corsa F 1.2 Turbo with the eight-speed automatic is the most pleasant and modern, provided the engine's belt has been checked. In the Corsa E, the six-speed automatic is preferable to the Easytronic.

Does the Opel Corsa-e count as an automatic?

Yes: the electric Corsa-e has no conventional gearbox and drives like an automatic. It is the smoothest option for town, provided the battery is in good health.
