Question 1

Which Peugeot 3008 generation should I choose?

Accepted Answer

The first generation is the cheapest but looks and feels more like an MPV. The second brought the SUV shape, the i-Cockpit with its small steering wheel and, from 2018, the EAT8 automatic; it is the most common. The third has a curved panoramic screen and electric, mild-hybrid and plug-in hybrid versions.

Question 2

What is the difference between the Peugeot 3008 Hybrid and Hybrid4?

Accepted Answer

Both are second-generation plug-in hybrids. The Hybrid drives the front wheels only, while the Hybrid4 adds a rear electric motor for four-wheel drive and more power. Both get the Crit'Air 1 sticker and make most sense if you can charge regularly.

Question 3

Is there an alternative to the Peugeot 3008 Hybrid4's four-wheel drive?

Accepted Answer

Most 3008s are front-wheel drive. On the second generation, the Grip Control option adapts traction to mud, sand and snow and usually comes with all-season tyres. It helps on slippery tracks but is not true four-wheel drive.

Question 4

Which Crit'Air sticker does a Peugeot 3008 get?

Accepted Answer

It depends on the Euro standard shown on the certificat d'immatriculation: petrol, mild-hybrid and plug-in hybrid 3008s get Crit'Air 1, diesels Crit'Air 2 and the electric E-3008 the green sticker. Early first-generation diesels that only meet Euro 4 get Crit'Air 3.
