Question 1

Which DGT environmental label does a Volkswagen T-Roc get?

Accepted Answer

Petrol and diesel T-Roc models built since the 2017 launch meet Euro 6, which earns the C label. The exact label is held on the DGT record for each registration, so check it against the plate before buying if you drive into low-emission zones.

Question 2

Is there a four-wheel-drive T-Roc?

Accepted Answer

Yes, 4Motion all-wheel drive was offered with the more powerful petrol and diesel engines and is standard on the T-Roc R. Most versions are front-wheel drive, which uses a little less fuel.

Question 3

What should I check on a T-Roc with a DSG gearbox?

Accepted Answer

The seven-speed dry-clutch DSG fitted to lower-powered versions can judder or hesitate at low speed as the clutches wear. Test it in slow traffic and on a hill start, and ask whether the gearbox software and servicing are up to date.

Question 4

Who pays tax when buying a used T-Roc privately in Spain?

Accepted Answer

In a private sale the buyer pays the regional ITP on the car's fiscal value, then registers the transfer with the DGT. Buying from a dealer, the price includes VAT instead and the dealer usually handles the paperwork.
