Which automatic gearbox does the Volkswagen T-Cross use?

The Volkswagen T-Cross uses the seven-speed DSG, a dual-clutch gearbox with dry clutches known as the DQ200. It is efficient and quick-shifting but less tolerant of stop-start traffic than a torque converter.

What should I check on a Volkswagen T-Cross DSG?

Pull away gently several times and creep in first and reverse: judder or a clunk points to worn clutches or a mechatronic fault. Ask whether any gearbox repairs or software updates were done under warranty.

Is the 1.5 TSI Volkswagen T-Cross only automatic?

Yes, the 150 hp 1.5 TSI Volkswagen T-Cross comes only with the DSG. It is the quickest T-Cross and suits frequent motorway driving.
