Question 1

Which DGT label do Suzuki mild hybrids get?

Accepted Answer

Suzuki's 12-volt and 48-volt mild-hybrid systems count as hybrids for the DGT, so these cars carry the ECO label. The plug-in Across gets the CERO label, while older petrol models without hybrid assistance usually have the C label.

Question 2

What is Suzuki AllGrip?

Accepted Answer

AllGrip is Suzuki's name for its four-wheel-drive systems. On the Vitara and S-Cross it is an on-demand system with selectable driving modes, while the Jimny's AllGrip Pro is a part-time 4x4 with low-range gearing.

Question 3

Why does the Suzuki Jimny hold its value so well?

Accepted Answer

It is one of the few small cars with a separate ladder frame, rigid axles and low-range gearing, which makes it a genuine off-roader. Supply in Europe has also been tight, and the latest generation was later sold there only as a two-seat commercial vehicle.

Question 4

What are the Suzuki Swace and Across?

Accepted Answer

Both come from Suzuki's partnership with Toyota: the Swace is based on the Corolla Touring Sports and the Across on the RAV4 plug-in hybrid. They share Toyota's hybrid drivetrains, so parts and workshops that know them are easy to find.
