Which petrol engine is best in a SsangYong Tivoli?

The 1.5 T-GDi is the strongest SsangYong Tivoli petrol engine and copes best with motorways and a full load. The 1.2 T-GDi three-cylinder is lighter on fuel in town, while the older non-turbo 1.6 is simple but needs revs.

Does a petrol SsangYong with LPG get the ECO label?

Yes: a SsangYong sold as an LPG bi-fuel version, such as some Tivoli and Korando, gets the DGT's ECO label. A petrol-only SsangYong registered from 2006 gets the C label.

Is a petrol SsangYong Korando a good choice?

A petrol SsangYong Korando from 2019 onwards, with the 163 hp 1.5 T-GDi, is quieter than the diesel and suits urban and mixed driving. For long motorway runs or towing, the diesel uses less fuel.
