The three-cylinder 1.0 TSI is a sound, economical engine in the Ibiza, Arona and Leon, especially in town. On the motorway with a full load it works harder than the four-cylinder 1.5 TSI.

Did the SEAT 1.2 TSI have timing chain problems?

Yes, the early chain-driven 1.2 TSI fitted from around 2010 to 2012 could stretch its timing chain. Later versions switched to a belt, so check which engine it is and whether the chain was replaced.

Which DGT label does a petrol SEAT get?
