Question 1

Can I drive an older SEAT inside Barcelona's low-emission zone?

Accepted Answer

Only if it has a DGT label. Vehicles without one, typically petrol cars first registered before 2000 and diesels before 2006, may not enter the ZBE Rondes de Barcelona on weekdays between 7:00 and 20:00.

Question 2

Where do I register a used SEAT bought in Barcelona?

Accepted Answer

The change of owner is processed by the DGT, online or at the Jefatura Provincial de Tráfico in Barcelona. On a private sale, the buyer first pays ITP to the Agència Tributària de Catalunya.

Question 3

Which SEAT models suit Barcelona?

Accepted Answer

The Ibiza and Arona are easy to park in the city's narrow streets and underground car parks, while the León, Ateca and Tarraco give more room for trips out of town. A León with an eTSI or e-Hybrid engine earns the ECO or zero label respectively.

Question 4

Is SEAT a Barcelona brand?

Accepted Answer

SEAT has its headquarters and main factory in Martorell, in the province of Barcelona, and began building cars in the city's Zona Franca in the 1950s. The Ibiza, Arona and León are among the models built there.
