How can I tell if a used Renault in Málaga was a rental car?

The DGT vehicle report shows the type of service, including rental without a driver. Ex-rental cars are often young with servicing done, but have had many different drivers.

Can a foreign resident buy a used Renault in Málaga?

Yes, but the DGT transfer needs a NIE and an address in Spain. A gestoría can handle the transfer and the ITP if the seller is private.

Does sea air affect used Renaults on the Costa del Sol?

Cars kept by the sea can show corrosion on the brakes, underbody and fixings sooner. Look under the car and at the brake discs before buying.
