Is the Renault 1.5 dCi engine reliable?

The 1.5 dCi lasts well when its oil is changed on time; neglected engines can wear their crankshaft bearings, so ask for the service history. Injectors and the turbo deserve a check on high-mileage cars.

Which DGT label does a diesel Renault get?

Diesel Renaults registered from 2006 get the B label, and Euro 6 models, mostly registered from 2015, get C. Older diesels have no label and face growing restrictions in low-emission zones.

Does a Renault Blue dCi need AdBlue?

Yes, Blue dCi engines have an AdBlue tank that must be topped up between services. Sort out any AdBlue or SCR warning before buying, as the car may refuse to restart once the tank runs dry.
