What should you check on a manual Renault Megane dCi?

Listen for rattle or vibration at idle and when pulling away, signs of a worn dual-mass flywheel. The clutch is often replaced at the same time, so a recent invoice adds value.

Is a manual Renault Megane cheaper to run than the automatic?

Usually yes: the manual is simpler, and the older automatic gearboxes in the second and third generations are known for faults. A clutch replacement is the main cost to plan for.

Which DGT label does a manual Renault Megane get?

It depends on fuel and age, not the gearbox: petrol cars from 2006 and Euro 6 diesels get C, older diesels from 2006 get B. Check it before buying if you drive into a low-emission zone.

From €950 to €79,900, half under €11,490 · Typically 2018 with 118,000 km. The manual is the usual Mégane in Spain, many of them built at Renault's Palencia plant. Paired with the 1.5 dCi it makes a frugal car that is cheap to run; on diesel versions the dual-mass flywheel is the costly wear part to check.
