Is the Renault Megane EDC gearbox reliable?

Generally yes, but the dry-clutch versions fitted to petrol models can judder when pulling away once the clutch wears. Ask for the gearbox software and service history.

What should you check on an automatic Renault Megane?

Pull away gently, forwards and in reverse: hesitation, judder or a warning message point to clutch or actuator wear. On older four-speed automatics, harsh or delayed shifts are a bad sign.

Which DGT label does the Renault Megane E-Tech plug-in hybrid get?

It carries the zero label, since its electric range exceeds the 40 km threshold. That gives access to low-emission zones and, in many towns, a reduced IVTM.

From €1,300 to €56,000, half under €16,990 · Typically 2022 with 76,533 km. Most automatic Méganes since 2010 use the EDC dual-clutch gearbox, quick and economical but sensitive to stop-start traffic. Older second-generation cars have a four-speed automatic with a weak reputation, and the E-Tech plug-in hybrid has its own multi-mode box.
