Question 1

Which Renault Captur gets the ECO label?

Accepted Answer

The E-Tech full hybrid and the LPG bi-fuel versions carry the ECO label, and the E-Tech plug-in hybrid carries the zero-emissions one. Petrol and diesel versions get B or C depending on their emissions standard and registration date.

Question 2

What changed with the second-generation Captur?

Accepted Answer

Launched in 2019, it is slightly larger, with a more modern cabin and new driver aids, and it brought the E-Tech hybrid and plug-in hybrid versions. The sliding rear bench stayed.

Question 3

Is the early 1.2 TCe engine in the Renault Captur a concern?

Accepted Answer

The 1.2 TCe petrol fitted to early Captur models is known for oil consumption and, in some cases, timing chain trouble. Ask what work has been done and check the oil level.

Question 4

Is a diesel Captur a good choice for Madrid?

Accepted Answer

A dCi suits regular motorway driving, but a diesel registered before September 2015 gets the B label at best. Madrid's special protection zones treat B and C cars more strictly than ECO or zero-emissions ones, so mainly urban drivers often lean towards a hybrid.
