Question 1

Where is the Renault Captur built?

Accepted Answer

Renault builds the Captur at its plant in Valladolid. That makes it one of the most common crossovers on Spanish roads, with parts and trained mechanics within easy reach.

Question 2

Which Captur versions get the ECO label?

Accepted Answer

The bi-fuel LPG and the E-Tech hybrid carry the ECO label, which opens most low-emission zones. A plug-in hybrid can qualify for the CERO label if its official electric range reaches 40 km; the DGT website confirms any car's label by number plate.

Question 3

What should I check on a Renault Captur with the EDC automatic?

Accepted Answer

Drive it in slow traffic: the EDC dual-clutch gearbox should pull away and change gear without jerks or hesitation. Ask whether the gearbox has had any work and when.

Question 4

How do the two Renault Captur generations differ?

Accepted Answer

The first Captur, launched in 2013, shares its base with the Clio IV. The second, from 2019, moved to the CMF-B platform, grew in size and brought the hybrid and plug-in hybrid versions.
