Is there a saloon version of the Peugeot 208?

No, the 208 has only been sold in Europe as a hatchback, with three or five doors in the first generation and five in the second. Spanish adverts often label it berlina, a word that covers hatchbacks as well as saloons.

What was the saloon equivalent of the Peugeot 208?

It was the Peugeot 301, a four-door saloon built in Vigo and sold in Spain during the 2010s. It shares much of its mechanical make-up with the first-generation 208 but has a separate boot and more rear legroom.

Does the Peugeot 208 have room for a family?

It suits a small family on short trips, but the rear seats and boot are those of a supermini. For more space in the same range, the 2008 SUV and the 308 are the next steps up.

From €2,999 to €26,900, half under €13,990 · Typically 2023 with 39,000 km. Peugeot never built the 208 as a three-box saloon in Europe. In Spain the word berlina covers hatchbacks too, so a 208 advertised as a saloon is the familiar hatchback; the small Peugeot saloon of the period was the Vigo-built 301.
