Question 1

Is the Opel Corsa made in Spain?

Accepted Answer

Yes, the Corsa has been built at Figueruelas, near Zaragoza, since the early 1980s, and the plant remains one of Opel's main factories. That keeps Corsas plentiful on the Spanish used market and parts easy to find.

Question 2

What should I know about the 1.2 turbo in recent Opels?

Accepted Answer

The three-cylinder petrol shared with Peugeot and Citroën uses a timing belt that runs in oil, and a worn belt can shed material into the lubrication system. Ask for proof of replacement and follow the maker's updated intervals.

Question 3

Which DGT label does an electric or hybrid Opel get?

Accepted Answer

Electric versions such as the Corsa Electric and Mokka Electric carry the CERO label, and so do plug-in hybrids with at least 40 km of electric range. Ordinary petrol models from 2006 and Euro 6 diesels get the C label.

Question 4

Which Opel suits a family?

Accepted Answer

The Zafira offers seven seats in its older generations. Among newer models, the Astra Sports Tourer estate and the Grandland SUV are the roomiest choices.
