Which Nissan petrol engine is the most reliable?

The 1.3 DIG-T fitted to the Qashqai, Juke and X-Trail from 2018 has a sound record. Some early 1.2 DIG-T engines, from 2014 to about 2016, could burn oil or stretch their timing chain, so ask for the service history.

Which DGT label does a petrol Nissan get?

Petrol Nissans registered from 2006 carry the C label, and those from 2000 to 2005 the B. Mild-hybrid and e-Power versions carry ECO instead.

Is a petrol Nissan Qashqai better than a diesel?

For mostly town driving, usually yes: a DIG-T has no diesel particulate filter to clog on short trips. A dCi still uses less fuel on long motorway runs.
