Which DGT label does the petrol MG HS get?

The petrol MG HS, with no hybrid system, carries the DGT C label. Only the plug-in and hybrid versions of the HS get more favourable labels.

Is the petrol MG HS thirsty?

The MG HS 1.5 turbo uses more fuel than the plug-in or hybrid in town, where a family SUV's weight shows in consumption. On open roads and motorways the gap narrows, and that is where the petrol makes most sense.

Petrol MG HS: manual or automatic?

The manual MG HS is simpler and cheaper to maintain, while the seven-speed dual-clutch makes town driving more relaxed. On an automatic, try slow pull-aways and parking manoeuvres to spot any hesitation.
