Where is ITP paid on a used Mercedes bought in Valencia?

In a private sale, the buyer pays ITP to the Valencian Tax Agency, based on the car's official value. A dealer sale pays no ITP because the price already includes IVA.

Does the DGT label matter for driving a Mercedes in Valencia?

Yes: by law, towns of more than 50,000 people, Valencia among them, must have a low-emission zone. A Mercedes without a label faces restrictions as each phase comes into force.

What should I check on a used Mercedes from the Valencia coast?

Look for a cracked dashboard, faded roof paint or dried-out leather seats from the sun. On a car that lived by the sea, also check the underside and the brake discs.
