What should I check on a used Mercedes from the Bay of Cádiz?

Salt air attacks the underside, subframes and brake discs, so it is worth putting the car on a lift before buying. Sand whipped up by the levante wind can pit the paint and windscreen.

Where is ITP paid on a used Mercedes bought in Cádiz?

In a private sale, the buyer pays ITP to the Andalusian Tax Agency, based on the car's official value. A dealer sale pays no ITP because the price already includes IVA.

Can I buy a Gibraltar-registered Mercedes in Cádiz?

Yes, but it must be registered in Spain before ownership can change at the DGT. Because Gibraltar is outside the EU customs union, the process can involve customs formalities.
