Question 1

Does a used Mazda CX-30 get the ECO label?

Accepted Answer

The petrol versions use Mazda's 24-volt M Hybrid system and carry the ECO label, which opens most low-emission zones. The 1.8 diesel sold in the first years carries C; confirm with the number plate on the DGT website.

Question 2

What is the Skyactiv-X engine in the Mazda CX-30?

Accepted Answer

A petrol engine that uses compression ignition under some conditions to burn a leaner mixture, combined with the mild hybrid system. It runs on ordinary unleaded petrol and in everyday driving behaves like a conventional petrol engine.

Question 3

Is there an all-wheel-drive Mazda CX-30?

Accepted Answer

Yes, Mazda's i-Activ AWD system was offered on some versions, most often with the Skyactiv-X engine. It helps on wet or loose surfaces but adds weight and a little fuel consumption.

Question 4

How practical is the Mazda CX-30?

Accepted Answer

It favours style and finish over space: rear legroom and the boot are modest for a crossover, and the rear windows are small. Buyers who often carry bulky loads tend to look at the larger CX-5 as well.
