Kia Picanto or Rio: which should I buy used?

The Picanto is shorter and easier to park, ideal for town. The Rio has a bigger boot and more rear space and is more comfortable on the motorway, so it suits drivers who leave the city often.

How can I tell if a used Kia Picanto was a rental car in Spain?

The DGT vehicle report, requested with the number plate, lists previous owners and the use the car was registered for, rental included. An ex-rental car is not necessarily a bad buy, but look for the scrapes left by many drivers.

What DGT label does a used Kia Picanto or Rio get?

Petrol versions registered from 2006 get the C label, as do Rio diesels from 2015. The Rio with the 48-volt mild hybrid gets ECO.
