Is a used Kia Optima a good family car in Spain?

Yes; its rear space and boot come close to those of larger saloons, and the 1.7 CRDi is economical on long runs. As a diesel it gets the C label only if it is Euro 6, so check the registration date.

Which engine should I pick in a used Kia Stinger?

The 2.2 CRDi diesel is the economical choice for high mileage, the 2.0 T-GDi petrol balances cost and performance, and the 3.3 V6 GT is the fastest. The V6's power puts it in the top IVTM band and raises insurance.

Is the Kia Stinger a saloon or a hatchback?

Technically it is a five-door fastback: it looks like a saloon but the tailgate opens with the rear window. That gives a wider boot opening than a conventional saloon such as the Optima.
