Actions

When does the Barcelona low-emission zone affect a used Kia?

The Rondes de Barcelona ZBE bars cars without a DGT label on weekdays from 7:00 to 20:00. Any Kia with a C, ECO or CERO label, which covers petrol models from 2006 and diesels from about 2015, can enter.

Does the DGT label change what a Kia pays to park in Barcelona?

Yes; the city's regulated street parking, the blue and green zones, sets its rate by the environmental label. A hybrid Kia with ECO or an electric one with CERO pays less than a petrol car with a C label.

Who sets the ITP when buying a Kia privately in Barcelona?

The Generalitat de Catalunya; the buyer must pay it before the DGT completes the transfer. Buying from a Barcelona dealer avoids ITP, because the sale carries VAT.
