Which petrol engine is best in the Kia Stonic?

The 1.0 T-GDi turbo is the best all-rounder, with enough torque for motorways and hills. The 1.2 and 1.4 non-turbo engines are cheaper to buy and simple to maintain, but need more revs when the car is loaded.

Is the dual-clutch gearbox on the petrol Kia Stonic worth having?

The seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox suits drivers who spend time in traffic and was offered with the 1.0 T-GDi. On a test drive, check that it pulls away smoothly from a standstill without judder, and ask whether it has been serviced.

Which DGT label does a petrol Kia Stonic get?

A petrol Kia Stonic without hybrid assistance carries the C label, which allows entry to Spain's low-emission zones under current rules. The mild-hybrid 1.0 T-GDi versions carry the ECO label instead.
