Is the Hyundai Ioniq Hybrid reliable?

The Ioniq Hybrid has a strong reliability record and very low fuel use, helped by its 1.6 petrol engine and dual-clutch gearbox. The hybrid battery came with a long manufacturer warranty, so ask how much of it remains.

Which DGT label does a Hyundai hybrid get?

Full hybrids and 48-volt mild hybrids get the ECO label. Plug-in hybrids such as the Tucson PHEV, with more than 40 km of electric range, get the CERO label.

Is the Hyundai Tucson Hybrid a good used buy?

Yes, the Tucson Hybrid pairs a 1.6 turbo petrol with an electric motor and a six-speed automatic for brisk, smooth progress. Its consumption is low in town but rises on the motorway, where the electric motor helps less.

Unlike many rivals, Hyundai's full hybrids use a real gearbox: a six-speed dual-clutch in the Ioniq and Kona, a six-speed automatic in the Tucson, so they drive like a conventional car. All carry the ECO label; plug-ins with enough electric range get CERO.
