Question 1

Does the Hyundai warranty transfer to a second owner?

Accepted Answer

Yes, the five-year, unlimited-mileage warranty belongs to the car, so a used Hyundai keeps whatever is left of it. It depends on servicing to schedule, so ask for the stamped book or the dealer's record.

Question 2

Which DGT label does a Hyundai get?

Accepted Answer

It depends on the powertrain: the 48-volt mild hybrids and full hybrids of the Tucson and Kona get ECO, the plug-in hybrids and electric models get 0, and conventional petrol and diesel versions get C or B by Euro standard.

Question 3

What should I check on a used Hyundai Kona Electric or Ioniq 5?

Accepted Answer

Ask a Hyundai dealer for a battery health reading and confirm that any recall work on the high-voltage system has been done. The battery has its own warranty, longer than the car's, which also passes to the next owner.

Question 4

Is a hybrid or petrol Hyundai Tucson better for city driving?

Accepted Answer

In stop-and-go traffic the full hybrid runs on electric power at low speed and carries the ECO label, while a plain petrol or diesel Tucson gets C or B. On mostly motorway driving the difference narrows.
