Which petrol engine is best in a used Hyundai i20?

The 1.2 MPi is simple and suits town driving, while the 1.0 T-GDi turbo has more pulling power for motorways and hills. The mild hybrid 1.0 T-GDi adds a small electric boost and the ECO label.

Does a petrol Hyundai i20 get the ECO label in Spain?

Only the 48V mild hybrid versions get the DGT ECO label; other petrol i20s registered from 2006 carry the C label. ECO cars face fewer restrictions in low-emission zones and pay less IVTM in many municipalities.

Did Hyundai make a diesel i20?

Yes, but only in the first two generations, with CRDi engines; the third-generation i20 is petrol only. For mostly short urban trips, a petrol i20 avoids the risk of a clogged diesel particulate filter.
