Is the Ford 1.0 EcoBoost engine reliable?

It is reliable when serviced with the oil Ford specifies, because its timing belt runs in oil and degrades with the wrong grade or long intervals. Early engines from around 2012 to 2014 also had cooling problems, so ask for proof of any recall work.

Which DGT label does a petrol Ford get?

A petrol Ford registered from 2006 onwards usually carries the C label, and one from 2001 to 2005 the B label. Mild hybrid EcoBoost versions of the Fiesta, Puma and Focus get the ECO label.

Should I buy a petrol or diesel Ford Focus in Spain?

Petrol suits mostly urban driving and short trips, where a diesel's particulate filter struggles to regenerate. A diesel Focus still makes sense for long motorway mileage.
