Used automatic Ford cars in Spain

Found 3,539 cars

From €2,000 to €999,999, half under €22,900 · Typically 2023 with 55,652 km · Most listed: Ford Kuga, Ford Focus, and Ford Puma. On an automatic Ford, the gearbox type matters more than the model: the dry-clutch PowerShift of 2011 to 2018 has a poor record, the 2018 Focus brought an eight-speed torque converter, and the Kuga hybrids use a clutchless eCVT.

Is the Ford PowerShift gearbox reliable?

The dry-clutch PowerShift fitted to the Fiesta, Focus and EcoSport from around 2011 to 2018 is known for judder, slipping and control-unit faults. Check that it pulls away smoothly from cold and ask whether the clutches or the module have been replaced.

What automatic gearbox does the fourth-generation Ford Focus have?

The fourth-generation Focus, from 2018, uses a conventional eight-speed torque-converter automatic rather than a dual-clutch. It is smoother at low speed and has not inherited the PowerShift's problems.

Do Ford Kuga hybrids have an automatic gearbox?

Yes, the Kuga hybrid and plug-in hybrid use a continuously variable eCVT with no clutch to wear. Mild-hybrid Pumas and Fiestas use a seven-speed dual-clutch or a manual instead.
