Question 1

Is the Ford Fiesta still made?

Accepted Answer

No. Ford ended production in 2023 after several generations, so only used examples are available. Parts and servicing remain easy to find in Spain because the car shares many components with other Ford models.

Question 2

What goes wrong with the Fiesta 1.0 EcoBoost?

Accepted Answer

Its timing belt runs in oil and can wear faster than expected, especially if oil changes were missed or the wrong oil was used. Ask for proof of belt replacement, and walk away from an engine that overheats or loses coolant.

Question 3

Which DGT label will a used Fiesta have?

Accepted Answer

Most petrol Fiestas and recent diesels carry the C label, and the EcoBoost mild hybrid gets ECO. Older diesels may have the B label or none, which restricts entry to low-emission zones in cities such as Madrid and Barcelona.

Question 4

Should I avoid the Fiesta's Powershift automatic?

Accepted Answer

The dual-clutch Powershift fitted to some older Fiestas has a record of judder and clutch faults. Test it from cold in stop-start traffic, and ask what repairs it has already had.
