Can an older Dacia diesel drive into Madrid?

It depends on its DGT label: a diesel without a label cannot drive in Madrid's low-emission zone, while B and C cars face limits in Distrito Centro. A Dacia with the ECO or CERO label has the widest access.

Who pays tax when buying a used Dacia in Madrid?

On a private sale the buyer pays ITP to the Comunidad de Madrid, based on the official value of the car. A purchase from a dealer does not pay ITP.

What should I check before buying a used Dacia in Madrid?

Check that the ITV is in date, because the DGT will not register the transfer of a car whose inspection has expired. Then confirm its environmental label, which decides where it can drive in Madrid.
