Question 1

Which DGT label does a used Dacia Duster get?

Accepted Answer

It depends on the fuel and the registration date. LPG and hybrid versions carry the ECO label; petrol cars registered from 2006 and Euro 6 diesels usually get C, and older diesels B. The label can be checked by number plate on the DGT website.

Question 2

Is an LPG Duster worth buying?

Accepted Answer

For high mileage it usually is: LPG tends to work out cheaper per kilometre than petrol, and the car simply carries on with petrol when no gas station is near. Check that it switches cleanly between the two fuels and that the system is recorded on the ficha técnica.

Question 3

Do I need the 4x4 version of the Dacia Duster?

Accepted Answer

Only if you drive on tracks, snow or steep unpaved roads; the front-wheel drive Duster covers most needs and is easier to find. On a 4x4, listen for transmission noise and look underneath for knocks from off-road use.

Question 4

What changes when I buy a Dacia Duster from a private seller?

Accepted Answer

A private sale pays ITP, the regional transfer tax, which a dealer sale does not. Either way the change of owner is registered with the DGT, and the ITV must be valid.
