Which petrol Cupra engine is the best value?

The 1.5 TSI is the economical choice and is enough for daily driving in a León or Formentor. The 2.0 TSI VZ versions are much faster but cost more to insure, with bigger tyre and brake bills.

What should I check on a used Cupra 2.0 TSI?

Look for signs of hard driving or tuning, such as aftermarket exhausts or software, which can void warranty cover. Check oil consumption, and that DSG and, on 4Drive cars, Haldex oil changes were done.

Which DGT label does a petrol Cupra have?

Petrol Cupras get the C label, as every model meets recent Euro emissions standards. It allows access to Spanish low-emission zones, though some cities can limit C-label cars during pollution episodes.
