Which DSG gearbox does the Cupra Formentor use?

The Cupra Formentor 1.5 TSI uses a seven-speed dry-clutch DSG, while the 2.0 TSI and 2.0 TDI use a seven-speed wet-clutch DSG. The e-Hybrid has its own six-speed DSG built around the electric motor.

What should I check on an automatic Cupra Formentor?

On an automatic Cupra Formentor, test pulling away and slow manoeuvring for judder, a sign of clutch wear on the dry-clutch DSG. On wet-clutch versions, ask whether the gearbox oil has been changed at the interval Cupra sets.

Which DGT label does an automatic Cupra Formentor get?

A petrol or diesel automatic Cupra Formentor normally gets the DGT C label, while the e-Hybrid plug-in qualifies for the zero-emissions label thanks to its electric range. The DGT website confirms it by registration number.
