Question 1

Which DGT label does a Cupra Formentor carry?

Accepted Answer

Petrol and diesel versions carry the C label, and versions with mild-hybrid eTSI engines the ECO label. The plug-in e-Hybrid has enough electric range for the zero-emissions label, which brings advantages in low-emission zones and in some municipalities' IVTM.

Question 2

What should I check on a Formentor e-Hybrid?

Accepted Answer

Ask whether the car was charged regularly, check that the charging cable is included and test that it charges at a socket or wallbox. Make sure it also starts and drives in electric mode with the battery charged.

Question 3

What is the difference between the Cupra Formentor VZ and VZ5?

Accepted Answer

VZ marks the most powerful versions, with 2.0 TSI petrol or e-Hybrid engines depending on the year. The VZ5 is a limited edition with a five-cylinder 2.5 TFSI engine and 4Drive all-wheel drive.

Question 4

Did early Formentors have any known issues?

Accepted Answer

Some cars from the first years suffered infotainment software glitches, such as a slow or freezing screen. Ask whether the software updates were carried out at a Cupra workshop.
