Question 1

Which Citroen van is the right size?

Accepted Answer

The Berlingo suits city deliveries and trades, the Jumpy is the mid-size van offered in several lengths, and the Jumper handles heavy and bulky loads. The Nemo, sold until the late 2010s, is the smallest and is now found only used.

Question 2

How often does a Citroen van go to the ITV?

Accepted Answer

Registered as a light goods vehicle up to 3,500 kg, it has its first ITV at two years, then every two years until six, every year until ten and every six months after that. Passenger versions such as the SpaceTourer follow the car schedule; the category is on the ficha técnica.

Question 3

What goes wrong on a Citroën BlueHDi diesel van?

Accepted Answer

Later BlueHDi engines use AdBlue, and faults in the tank, pump or sensor are a known problem that can end in a countdown to a no-start. Ask whether the AdBlue system has been repaired, and on any HDi used for short trips check the particulate filter.

Question 4

Is an electric Citroen van worth considering?

Accepted Answer

For city rounds from a fixed base, an ë-Berlingo or ë-Jumpy carries the CERO label and the widest access to low-emission zones. Ask for a battery health report and check that the range with a load covers your daily route.
