Question 1

Which DGT label does a C5 Aircross plug-in hybrid carry?

Accepted Answer

The plug-in hybrid has more than 40 km of electric range, so it carries the CERO label, which brings the most advantages in Spanish low-emission zones. Petrol cars and Euro 6 diesels get C, and the later mild hybrid ECO.

Question 2

What do the Citroën C5 Aircross hydraulic bump stops do?

Accepted Answer

Citroën's Advanced Comfort suspension replaces conventional rubber bump stops with hydraulic ones that cushion big impacts more gently. On a test drive over speed bumps and broken roads the car should stay calm; knocking suggests worn suspension parts.

Question 3

What should I check on the Citroën C5 Aircross EAT8 automatic?

Accepted Answer

The eight-speed torque-converter automatic is robust but benefits from fluid changes at the intervals the maker sets. Look for smooth, jolt-free shifts and ask for evidence of gearbox servicing.

Question 4

How practical is the back of a C5 Aircross?

Accepted Answer

There are three rear seats of equal width, each of which slides and folds on its own. Three child seats fit side by side, and boot space can be traded against legroom as needed.
