Which gearbox does an automatic Audi Q5 have?

It depends on the engine. Four-cylinder 2.0 TDI and TFSI versions use the seven-speed S tronic dual-clutch, while most V6 diesels and the SQ5 use the eight-speed tiptronic with a torque converter.

What goes wrong with the S tronic in a used Audi Q5?

The mechatronic unit and clutch packs are the known weak points, showing up as jerky low-speed shifts or hesitation when pulling away. Ask for proof that the gearbox oil was changed at the intervals Audi specifies.

Which DGT label does an automatic Audi Q5 carry?

The label follows the engine, not the gearbox. Euro 6 diesels and petrol cars from 2006 carry C, and the plug-in TFSI e carries ECO or CERO depending on its electric range.
