Question 1

Which DGT label does a used Audi Q5 get?

Accepted Answer

A petrol Q5 or a Euro 6 diesel normally gets the C label, and earlier diesels get B. Plug-in TFSI e versions carry ECO or Zero depending on their electric range, and the full hybrid of the first generation carries ECO.

Question 2

Is a plug-in Audi Q5 TFSI e worth it?

Accepted Answer

It makes sense if you can charge at home or work and drive mostly short distances on electric power; on long motorway runs it behaves like a heavy petrol car. Ask for a battery health check and make sure the charging cable is included.

Question 3

What should I check on a diesel Audi Q5?

Accepted Answer

The particulate filter and, on cars that have it, the AdBlue system need regular open-road driving to stay healthy, so a Q5 used only in town deserves extra scrutiny. Ask whether the S tronic gearbox oil has been changed when it was due.

Question 4

Audi Q5 or Q5 Sportback?

Accepted Answer

The Sportback has a sloping roofline, a slightly smaller boot and less headroom in the back. Mechanically the two are the same, so the choice comes down to looks against practicality.
