Used automatic Audi A3 in Spain

Found 1,922 cars

From €1,700 to €121,000, half under €26,990 · Typically 2023 with 57,875 km. An automatic Audi A3 almost always means S tronic, the dual-clutch gearbox Audi fitted from the second generation on. Its quick shifts suit Spanish motorway driving, but the gearbox's history matters as much as the engine's when you choose one.

Is the S tronic gearbox in a used Audi A3 reliable?

The seven-speed dry-clutch S tronic fitted to smaller engines needs the most care, as its mechatronic unit and clutches can wear. Wet-clutch versions behind the more powerful engines are tougher but need their oil changed at the set intervals.

What should I check when test-driving an automatic Audi A3?

Pull away gently and on a slope, feeling for judder, hesitation or a harsh change between first and second. Ask whether the mechatronic unit or clutches have been replaced and whether the gearbox oil has been changed.

Which DGT label does an automatic Audi A3 get?

The label follows fuel and emissions standard, not the gearbox. Plug-in hybrids carry CERO and mild hybrids ECO, while Euro 4 or later petrol and Euro 6 diesel versions carry C.
