What do T3, T4 and T5 mean on petrol Volvos?

They mark power levels rather than engine sizes: the T3 is the entry version and the T5 one of the most powerful, while the T6 adds a supercharger to the turbo. Many share the same 2.0 Drive-E block.

Should I buy a petrol or diesel Volvo?

For low mileage or mostly town driving, a petrol Volvo avoids particulate filter problems. For frequent long journeys, a diesel still uses less fuel.

What is a petrol Volvo B4?

It is a 2.0 petrol engine with a 48 V mild hybrid system that recovers energy when braking. It needs no charging and drives like a normal petrol automatic.
