Does Volvo still sell cars with a manual gearbox?

No, Volvo stopped offering a manual gearbox around 2020 and now sells only automatics. A manual Volvo is always a model from before that change.

Is a manual Volvo V40 a good used car?

The V40 is a compact with strong safety equipment, including a standard pedestrian airbag, and the manual is among the simplest versions to maintain. The D2 diesel is economical, while the T2 or T3 petrol suits low-mileage drivers.

What should I check on the clutch of a manual diesel Volvo?

The D3 and D4 have high torque, which is hard on the clutch and the dual-mass flywheel. Vibration at idle or when pulling away can point to a worn dual-mass flywheel.
