What is the difference between the Volvo T8 and B5?

The T8 is a plug-in hybrid that charges from a socket and covers short trips on electric power alone. The B5 is a 48 V mild hybrid with no plug, which only reduces fuel use.

What should I check on a used Volvo plug-in hybrid?

Check the real electric range on a full battery and whether the charging cable comes with the car. A range far below the original calls for a battery diagnosis at a Volvo workshop.

Is a Volvo T8 four-wheel drive?

Yes, on the T6 and T8 the electric motor drives the rear wheels and the petrol engine the front ones, giving all-wheel drive. The XC40 T5 plug-in, by contrast, is front-wheel drive only.
